According to FDIC Quarterly vol. 14 no. 3 there are 4,430 commercial banks and 636 savings institutions in the U.S. with a total of $21.1 trillion in assets. Although Black Americans make up 14% of the US population less than 0.03% of these total assets ($6.1B) are held in Black Banks.
