Presidential Candidate Beto O’Rourke Raised a Record Breaking $6.1 Million in 24 hours
Presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke raised $6.1 million in 24 hours since announcing he is seeking the highest U.S. office, campaign officials announced Monday.
His campaign received $6,136,763 in online donations in the day after he announced he was running for the White House last Thursday
“In just 24 hours, Americans across this country came together to prove that it is possible to run a true grassroots campaign for president — a campaign by all of us, for all of us, that answers not to the PACs, corporations, and special interests but to the people,” said O’Rourke in a statement.
O’Rourke thanked supporters in a tweet on Monday
This is a campaign of people. All people, no PACs. All people, no special interests. All people, no corporations. Very grateful to be running this race with you. pic.twitter.com/yZ7x6GV2rX
